Compost Awareness Week: Free Compost Giveaways

Description

Celebrate International Compost Awareness Week with 8 Jurisdictions in San Diego County!

The County of San Diego will be hosting compost giveaway locations in unincorporated areas from May 4–10 at the following parks:

• Spring Valley County Park
• Collier County Park (Compost & Mulch)
• Dianne Jacob Lakeside Equestrian Park (Mulch from May 4-8**)
• Live Oak County Park
• Wilderness Gardens Preserve

This is a self-serve, self-loading, and self-haul event. Please bring your own containers (cans or bags), gloves, and a shovel. If you're transporting compost in an open truck or trailer, don’t forget to bring a tarp to cover your load.
